Amanda Campbell – Volunteer of the Year

With only 24 hours in a day, Amanda Campbell masters giving to the community, participating in JLP, supporting friends and raising a family all while working full time. 

“One of my favorite things is how her tough, no nonsense exterior always gives way to her big and generous heart,” one JLP member says.

Amanda’s League work includes the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum and Board positions as Treasurer, Director At Large & President. She mentors members, set a new direction for the League and regularly attends Kids in the Kitchen sessions at Glendale Commons & Dream Center, even though cooking is not her thing. As a past president, Amanda continues to show up in many ways.

Community groups lucky to have her service include Peoria Public Schools, Ronald McDonald House, Easter Seals, United Way, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Peoria Affiliate, WTVP Board and the Red Cross Board.
