Announcing JLP Sustainer of the Year

Beth Bussan – Sustainer of the Year – May 2020

Beth Bussan is the definition of an active sustainer who continues to exemplify what it means to be a part of the Junior League of Peoria.

Beth fosters collaboration among all walks of life. She is very focused and determined, yet her warmth, gentleness and sense of humor put people at ease, quickly earning trust and respect. “She is an initiator and a doer in the kindest of ways,” says a close friend.

In her 30+ years in the League, Beth served in whatever capacity was needed, including the Mentor/Mentee program and the Sustainer Engagement Team.

Professionally, Beth is an Early Childhood Development expert, serving in many volunteer roles to improve quality early childhood education for our community.  She volunteers with the Center for Youth and Family Solutions, Knox College, St. Philomena Church, the Catholic Women’s League and the South-West Kiwanis Club.
