COVID-19 Community Outreach Efforts

Throughout March and April the Junior League of Peoria has been at work in the community to help our neighbors through this difficult time. We’ve been able to make a huge impact on our non-profit partners and continue to assist where we can! Thank you so much to our members and partners for the ideas and assistance.

By the end of May, we will have served 1,160 meals to community members (meals were distributed March through May, three short months!) In addition to these meals, we’ve also made $4,000 in donations to purchase food/pantry items.

Check out these highlights from our recent community outreach efforts:

  •       $1,000 donation to MidWest Food Bank
  •       Essential Care Packages for the Neighborhood House
  •       Boys and Girls Club food deliveries
  •       Dream Center food deliveries

Please have a look at all of our ongoing projects for more details on these exciting ways that we’re helping in our community!

Our work is far from over as we continue to look for new ways to further our mission of food security in the Peoria Area. If you are looking to help with these efforts, the easiest and best way at this time is by making a donation to the Junior League of Peoria’s annual fund. You can donate online or send a check to 114 State St., Suite 2A, Peoria, IL 61602.
