This fundraiser, held annually in November, is Peoria's largest sale of quality new and used merchandise. This fundraiser has provided a community service and financial foundation for the Junior League of Peoria since 1946. The proceeds from the sale go towards funding the League’s projects.

Julep’s Closet is Peoria's largest sale of quality new and used merchandise. This fundraiser has provided a community service and financial foundation for the Junior League of Peoria since 1946. Proceeds from the sale go towards funding the League’s projects, such as Kids in the Kitchen and the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum!
Originally called "Thrift Shop", the name was changed in 1973, when changes were made to this fundraiser. ("JULEP" stands for Junior League of Peoria.) This event is held the second weekend of November at the RiverPlex. This event not only raises funds for the League’s community projects, but also fills a need to individuals in the community. Shoppers are able to purchase all kinds of clothes, household items, furniture, shoes, accessories, boutique items, and even bakery goodies at greatly reduced prices.
The Junior League of Peoria accepts items for the sale from all members of the community. Julep's Closet will gladly sell new or gently used clothing (women's, men's and children's), linens, holiday decor, sporting equipment, home decor, household items, toys, and baby accessories. Members can pick-up the items from your home or can assist with unloading your vehicle at our office. All donations are considered tax-deductible.
