Julep's Closet

This fundraiser, held annually in November, is Peoria's largest sale of quality new and used merchandise. This fundraiser has provided a community service and financial foundation for the Junior League of Peoria since 1946. The proceeds from the sale go towards funding the Junior League of Peoria's projects.

Originally called "Thrift Shop", the name was changed in 1973, when changes were made to this fundraiser. ("Julep" stands for Junior League of Peoria.) This two-day event is held the second weekend of November at the RiverPlex. This fundraiser not only raises funds for our community projects, but also fills a need to individuals in the community. Shoppers are able to purchase all kinds of clothes, household items, furniture, shoes, accessories, boutique items, and even bakery goodies at greatly reduced prices.
